Gadget
A gadget is a small technological object (such as a device or an appliance) that has a particular function, but is often thought of as a novelty. Gadgets are invariably considered to be more unusually or cleverly designed than normal technology at the time of their invention. Gadgets are sometimes also referred to as gizmos.
Freak
In contemporary usage, the word freak is commonly used to refer to a person with something unusual about their appearance or behaviour. This usage dates from the so-called freak scene of the 1960s and 1970s. "Freak" in this sense may be used either as a pejorative, a term of admiration, or a self-description. It can also denote a strong obsession with a particular activity, e.g., "He's such a neat-freak" or "You're a singing freak". The term "freaky" can also apply to a person who is sexually adventurous, or by itself as in "that person's a freak" (in bed.)
An older usage refers to the physically deformed, such as sideshow performers. This has fallen into disuse, except as a pejorative, and (among the performers of such shows) as jargon. A "freak" in this sense can be formally defined as someone not falling within typical standard deviations. For example, people of small stature would not be classified as freaks unless they are within the third standard deviation for the general population, while the same principle would apply to exceptionally tall people. "Freaks" of this kind can be classified into two groups: natural freaks and made freaks. A natural freak would usually refer to a genetic abnormality, while a made freak is a once normal person who experienced or initiated an alteration at some point in life (such as receiving surgical implants).
"Freak" continues to be used to describe genetic mutations in plants and animals, i.e. "freaks of nature." "Freak" can also be used in a verb form, and can mean: "to become stressed and upset". Usually, in this form, the word is followed by "out" to complete the phrase, "freaking out". However, this meaning and usage is usually considered slang. Adjectival forms include "freakish" as well as "freaky." The verb "freaking" (or, "freaking out") means "engaging in panicked or uncontrolled behavior"--for example, as the result of psychedelic drug use.
"Freaking" may also be a minced oath used in place of "fucking," e.g. "Oh my freaking God!" The word is a homonym of "phreak" (referring to the illegal hacking of telephone systems), which it probably inspired.
'Freak' can also be seen being used as a surname, derived from French and Scottish heritage. Meaning, through interpretation 'keeper of the plains', the name is rarely seen but exists in some numbers. A notable carrier of the surname 'Freak' is Reece Freak, noted philanthropist and industrialist of Adelaide, South Australia.
maniac
is a severe medical condition characterized by extremely elevated mood, energy, unusual thought patterns and sometimes psychosis. There are several possible causes for mania including drug abuse and brain tumours, but it is most often associated with bipolar disorder, where episodes of mania may cyclically alternate with episodes of major depression. These cycles may relate to diurnal rhythms and environmental stressors. Mania varies in intensity, from mild mania (known as hypomania) to full-blown mania with psychotic features (hallucinations and delusions).
Manic patients may need to be hospitalized to protect themselves and others. Mania and hypomania have also been associated with creativity and artistic talent.
ternyata serem juga ya pengertian keduanya???? well kalo gitu gak juga keduanya karena sebenarnya... kalo liat gadget nggak merasa selalu harus beli kok... penggunaan bener-bener tergantung kebutuhan pemakaian, secara miss ring-ring juga bukan, miss jempol juga bukan, tapi karena teknologi juga ngegeser terus ... semangat konsumerisme-nya juga ternyata sangat nyata dan kencang adanya...halah!!! eh tapi entar dulu dink... kalo boleh jujur ... emang selalu rewel kalo punya HP...pengennya bisa semua...udah kayak one stop service gitu..telpon bisa, email bisa, nge-browse bisa, bahkan kalo bisa kerja juga...makin seneng...
Akibatnya nggak pernah awet melihara HP... jadi rekor tersendiri kalo bisa pegang lebih dari 1 tahun ... dari mulai Ericsson, Nokia, Siemens, Philips, Sony Ericsson, O2, dan akhirnya Dopod.
Nach... sejak 'kembali' ke SE, seperti menemukan oase baru, ternyata emang yang dimauin model-model smart phone seri P ... udah gitu SE pake nilai plus pula dengan touch screen-nya. model PDA dulu nggak gitu narik hati, ribet aja dan males aja... sejarah juga tuh make SE sampai setahun-an gitu... berasa punya standar baru, tadinya udah pengen ganti ke SE yang baru...cuman harganya waktu itu nggak worth it banget...dan naga-naganya udah mulai siap untuk pindah ke PDA Phone...setelah membandingkan antara Nokia Seri E, Motorola Moto Q dan Samsung ... kayaknya udah nggak ada daya ya untuk balik ke Qwerty tanpa touch phone... so pilihan jatuh ke...O2 Atom Exec, yang dapet anugerah editor choice dari Cnet Asia... ternyata...urrggghhh...capeknya pake O2, udah boros batere, gampang banget Hang, keyboard qwerty-nya terpisah dengan sambungan Irda.....waksss capek dech... nggak sampe 3 bulan, tuch HP di lego lagi... langsung ganti Dopod 818 Pro... alhamdulillah sampe sekarang, udah hampir 1 tahun megang tuch gadget....belum tergoda untuk beli Black Berry yang sekarang udah laris bak kacang goreng...
kalo gitu guwe lebih suka kalo dipanggil dengan Gadget minded

It may also include cognitive processes in non-human animals along with the conscious experiences that may accompany them. "Mind" is often used to refer especially to the thought processes of reason. Nach ini dia, unlike me, my luvly hubby kurang gitu suka gonta ganti HP, secara HP dia punya Nokia Communicator yang dulu booming banget (sampe harga market mestinya 9 juta waktu itu dan die beli 13 jt...hiks..hiks..hiks..kalo inget...) sampe sekarang tuch HP nggak ganti ganti ...bingung guwe... padahal udah 3 tahunan..hebat...kalo ada program Nokia Communicator Loyalty Program, pasti dia tuch pemenangnya...
...sampe suatu saat, my hubby so freak ...liat ulasan di Kompas tentang laptop Acer Aspire One yang bentuknya mungil ech pake modem 3G di dalam pula, terus harganya lebih murah dibanding kalo beli BB Storm yang 8,5 jt-an bahkan sempet naek jadi 9 jt-an ketika dollar kemarin ngegila..harga Acer U$ 599 cash back U$ 569 kalau nggak yang pake modem kurangin aja U$ 100 so kisaran harganya bisa 6,5jt-an tergantung kurs.
Akhirnya...beli juga dech...Nokia-nya apa kabar? itu yang gw bingung, ternyata belum mau dilepas juga Lhochhh...
Dengan harga yang sangat moderat, pantas aja kalo Acer jadi Best Buy...bayangin aja Fujitsu yang kecilnya nyaris sama bisa main-main di angka 20 jt.... bisa jadi Acer nyodok laptop si mungil Asus seri eepc. dari segi tampilan Acer lebih stylist ketimbang Asus yang berkesan maen-maen meski bundling harga eepc lebih murah. udah gitu Acer nawarin pilihan warna: hitam, putih silver, biru dan pink. strategi-nya OK banget... yang lebih dahsyat lagi, marketing-nya mungkin lebih banyak dari mulut ke mulut dibanding iklan cash back-nya...
Dari sejak kita beli, terjaring beberapa pembeli baru dari mulai orang kantor sampe orang rumah hahaha...
jadi inget laptop pertama kita dulu merk-nya Compaq harganya dulu berapa ya? kayaknya berasa banget mahalnya padahal second. udah gitu rusak karena kebakar, bukan kita lagi yang melakukannya cuciaaann dech.... setelah lama banget pake laptop pinjeman kantor (Toshiba), akhirnya come our 2nd laptop ... Asus yang bukan seri eepc (yang dibeli gara-gara kita berdua mau pergi ke Spore...loch kok bisa? bukan sebaliknya aja ya???)....
enough story about our gadget... back to reality ny very own - office desk, PC dengan original Software (secara kantor takut banget di-sue ama Om Bill gates)... sengaja PC-nya ditarok disudut, untuk mencegah sakit punggung...hehehe...
Oh iya...ini satu lagi must have gadget...DVD player yang portable, bisa dipake buat camping hehehe...
