My Views

The DVD has already stored in my bag for over 3 weeks. It’s not that I don’t have intention to watch.. I just postponed it and have a feeling that I wouldn’t like this movie enough.

Well, last night… I didn’t see there’s not much reason to not watching the movie…So.. I watched it… and kind of regretted that I didn’t watched it earlier…

It’s soooo fun to see this… complete…comprehensive….And I can see now how Indians are called as ‘east’ for having east values in relationship…ie. just learn how surprise Ashima when the her son' American fiancee (Trudy) called her name and her husband, as well as when Trudy kissed her husband (of course as the sign of respectful). even Gogol has warned Trudy for not holding or kiss him in front of their parents.

Actually I’ve seen other Mira’s film (Moonsoon) …. But for me this movie is much more interesting than Moonsoon. BTW, dont look for familiar, beauty, handsome, even dancing in this movie...you wont find them...yeah....for beauty and handsome you'll find it rarely.... this movie reflects and pictures the urban familiy in urban city.

love to see this kind of movie and will wait another Mira Nair's movie, she's so keen in picturing India in her movie without ever have to focus on dancing and singing only....wonder...if Mira name is identicall with the succesful film-maker ? since Indonesia itself has Mira Lesmana.... well.... GIRL POWER !

It's a must see-movie... if you love to see how values are still valuable for some people in some part of the world.
